Altering Aori-made campaigns in Google Ads

What to expect when working with Aori and Google Ads (Editor and web interface)

If you sync a campaign made in Aori to Google Ads, and then want to make changes to the campaign, what follows is the behavior you can expect.

You can edit the following in Aori:

  • Campaign Name
  • Dates
  • Daily Budget
  • Locations
  • Keywords
  • Extensions
  • Ad texts

When you click "save" the changes will be synced to the campaign in Google in less than 3 minutes. A tip is to make all updates to campaigns in Aori, because it will be faster than doing it manually in the Editor or Google's web interface.

Alternatively, you can edit the following on the Google Ads side:

  • Campaign Name
  • Dates
  • Daily Budget
  • Locations
  • Keywords
  • Extensions
  • Ad texts

In this case, these edits will also be shown in Aori. But with one caveat: keywords and ad texts will only appear in the dashboard rendering of the campaign, and not in the Keyword Builder and Ad Template step.

A benefit of using Aori for campaign management is that it is easy to add keywords and ads to campaigns you created in Aori. The management of SKAG campaigns is a core feature of our tool.

With this in mind, it is best to add any keywords or ads for an ongoing campaign in Aori and not in Google. The reason is simple: if you want to add a keyword to an ongoing campaign in Aori, it can be done in two clicks, and after which a new single keyword ad group will be made. To do this in the Google Ads interface would take much longer.

Regarding ads, the process looks a little different. If you want to add an ad to each SKAG or if you want to edit an ad that is in each SKAG, then Aori doing this in Aori is the best way to do that. If you need to add one ad to a specific SKAG, then it will need to be done in Google. Remember, Aori isn't trying to replace the Google Ads interface, only to improve it.
